Jing Zhu, founder and actual controller of Haima Motor, has been re-elected chairman of Haima Motor, according to the official release of Haima Motor.

As an ordinary technician and now the "head" of Haima Group, Jing Zhu resigned as chairman for personal reasons in July 2013. But after being re-elected as chairman this time, Jingzhu said he was determined to return to the front line, recreate the seahorse and lead employees to start a business for the fourth time.

The production and sales of seahorse cars fell sharply from the same period last year, with production of 2337 vehicles in April 2019, down 49.52% from the same period last year, and cumulative sales of 2650 vehicles, down 34.95% from the same period last year. The cumulative production from January to April in 2019 was 6004, a sharp drop of 79.17 from the same period last year. From January to April, the cumulative sales were 7742, and also fell sharply by 72.2% from the same period last year. The net profit loss of Haima Motor for the whole of 2018 reached 1.637 billion yuan, which widened to 64.64% compared with the previous year.

Prior to this, Haima Motor had twice publicly sold idle properties in order to ease the pressure. On April 22nd, Haima Motors announced that it intends to sell 36 idle properties in Shanghai, with a total area of about 10600 square meters, with a book value of 33.8617 million yuan. On May 15, Haima Motors again sold 284 properties in Haikou City, with a total area of about 17400 square meters. Book value is about 30.9 million yuan.
