Tesla said on Wednesday that its solar plant in Buffalo, New York, would become a "manufacturing home" for superchargers and other energy storage products for its electric vehicles, as it aims to meet employment targets related to state subsidies related to the plant.

Tesla will also open three new car service centers in New York, the company said. A year later, the company needs to employ 1460 workers in the state.
