Mercedes-Benz announced global executive transfers, Beijing Mercedes-Benz president and CEO replacement.

President of Beijing Mercedes-Benz and CEO Ni Kai stepped down and transferred to President of North America and Jan Madeja of CEO;, President of Mercedes-Benz Russia and CEO, replacing Ni Kai as the new president and CEO of Beijing Mercedes-Benz. The above appointments will take effect on September 1.

Ni Kai officially became president and CEO of Beijing Mercedes-Benz in 2013. He is in charge of Mercedes-Benz's business in China and has achieved year-on-year growth in sales. Mercedes-Benz sales in China reached 670000 in 2018.

Mr. Yang Ming, the new president and CEO of Beijing Mercedes-Benz, joined the finance department of Daimler Group in Stuttgart in 1992, held various positions within the group, and finally served as president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Russia.

China has already become Mercedes-Benz's largest single market in the world. In the first four months of this year, Mercedes-Benz sold 232000 vehicles in China, up 2.2 per cent from a year earlier.
