AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)05/18 Report--

BYD recently issued a board announcement, saying that the board meeting passed a "proposal to increase the capital of Shenzhen Tengli New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd." and agreed to increase its stake in its joint venture with Daimler. At the same time, Daimler Greater China Investment Co., Ltd., another shareholder of Tengli New Energy, increased its capital by RMB 150 million to Tencent New Energy, and the shareholdings of both shareholders remained unchanged at 50:50 after the capital increase.

In fact, this is the second time that BYD and Daimler have increased their capital to Tengli this year. On February 28, 2019, BYD and Daimler respectively increased their capital by 200 million yuan, and the registered capital of Tengli was changed from 4.16 billion yuan to 4.56 billion yuan. The capital contribution increased from 5.66 billion yuan to 6.06 billion yuan.

And the performance of the momentum is not ideal, in 2014, the momentum ushered in the first production car, after nine years of development, five years of mass production of the momentum car, there is still only one model momentum 500. In the pure electric model market, a range of 451 kilometers and the blessing of two major brands should be the brand advantages of Tengli, but its sales have not exceeded the 10,000 mark since it went on sale in 2014.

At this year's Shanghai Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz announced the sale of its first EQC pure electric model, marking that Mercedes-Benz's official foray into new energy has been sounded. In November 2016, Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology Co., Ltd. officially changed its name to Shenzhen Tengli New Energy vehicle Co., Ltd., this de-Mercedes-Benz move shows that there is no room for further cooperation between Mercedes-Benz and BYD. then all that is left is that the market slowly forgets the marginalized electric brand, and the momentum finally returns to BYD.
