According to domestic media sources, Zheng Gang, former general manager of BAIC New Energy, will serve as a special adviser to the chairman of Tieniu Group (the controlling shareholder of Zhongtai Automobile). Help Tieniu Group Chairman Ying Jianren carry out the strategic planning, asset restructuring and business integration of the automobile business.

At present, Tieniu Group's business includes automobile manufacturing and sales, key automotive parts, new energy vehicles, foreign joint venture business, electronics and electrical appliances, real estate development and investment management.

During his 18-year career in BAIC, Zheng Gang spent the first 13 years mainly responsible for administrative management and brand building. On September 27, 2018, Zheng Gang also realized the highlight of his six-year BAIC new energy career. BAIC New Energy landed in the A-share market in the name of "BAIC Blue Valley" and became the first domestic new energy stock. The trend after leaving BAIC last year has been concerned by people in the automotive industry.

From annual sales of 7138 vehicles in 2014 to 158000 in 2018, Zheng Gang contributed more than 22 times the ultra-high sales growth rate to BAIC New Energy in the past five years. On February 1 this year, BAIC New Energy A-share listed company BAIC Langu issued a notice saying: Zheng Gang offered to resign due to health reasons, and has been formally approved.

Zheng Gang joined Tieniu Group at this time, just to make use of his resources in traditional cars and new energy vehicles, to serve the restructuring of Tieniu Group's automobile industry, and to make some contribution to China's automobile industry.
