Officials say the car was parked in a gun-plugged state for four days, and the system automatically recharged several times after it was fully charged to keep the battery fully charged for a long time.

For the sake of safety, NIO issued "interim measures to enhance the safety of charging", temporarily limiting the charge to 90%. NIO said that in view of the increased failure probability of power batteries in the state of high charge for a long time, out of the principle of safety and prudence, for exclusive piles and vehicles in the networked state until the results of the formal investigation are available, NIO will take temporary measures to limit the charge to 90%.

At the same time, for charging in a non-networked state, or when using a third-party charging pile, NIO also advises car owners to charge at less than 90% of the electricity in their daily use.

In addition, NIO also announced that it will replace the battery pack with safety risks for car owners free of charge. If the battery pack has been hit and it is found that there is a safety hazard after inspection, NIO will replace the battery pack of the same specification for the car owner free of charge. NIO advised that if there is an emergency caused by the abnormal function of the battery, please leave the vehicle immediately, if you find that the battery is smoking and on fire, please report the fire alarm 119 after ensuring the safety of personnel, and spray the fire through the damaged position with a large amount of water.
