In 2017, Jinma shares under Tieniu Group carried out major asset restructuring, acquired 100% equity of Zhongtai Automobile for 11.6 billion yuan, and then renamed Zhongtai Automobile. At the end of 2017, Zotye Automobile began to lay out new energy vehicles. According to the official data of Zotye Automobile, the sales volume of Zotye Automobile in April 2019 decreased by 35% year-on-year; the cumulative sales volume from January to April decreased by 52.3% year-on-year.

According to the sales report of the association, although the T series of Zotye Automobile has a good sales trend, the year-on-year performance decline is still very large. Zheng Gang's participation can lead Zotye Automobile to achieve performance rise.
