Recently, according to information disclosed by the Jiangxi provincial government, France's Renault invested 1 billion yuan in the acquisition of Jiangling New Energy vehicles, which has now been signed. However, there is new news that the project is still under negotiation and the two sides have not yet been finalized.

On December 20, 2018, Renault Group and Jiangling Group announced that they had reached a cooperation agreement to further expand China's new energy vehicle market, and the two sides signed an electric vehicle cooperation agreement. Renault Group will become an important shareholder of Jiangxi Jiangling Group New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd through capital increase. The two sides said at the time that the deal was expected to be completed in 2019.

Jiangling New Energy is a new subsidiary invested by Jiangling Group in 2015, with a registered capital of 200 million yuan. As early as the end of 2016, Jiangling New Energy was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission to approve the project of Jiangxi Jiangling Group New Energy vehicle Co., Ltd. to produce 50,000 pure electric passenger vehicles per year; in September 2017, it was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, becoming the third qualified new energy vehicle after BAIC New Energy and Yundu New Energy. And launched a new brand "easy access car" in 2018.

According to the previous plan, Jiangling New Energy is expected to build three complete vehicle platforms, four series and more than 20 products in the future, with a 10% market share of the domestic pure electric vehicle market in 2020. Jiangling New Energy, which is supported by Renault, may be able to further improve its technological level.
