AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)05/22 Report--

Germany's Bozer Group plans to invest more than 300 million euros (2.3 billion yuan) in research and development of new products and manufacturing technology and equipment in China in the next three years.

At last month's Shanghai auto show, Bozer Group displayed several spare parts products for Chinese customers and disclosed that investment in China accounted for 20% of the total global investment.

With the development of the domestic automobile industry towards electrification, Boze showed several products. One is an electric seat developed for the Chinese market. It can be used for a variety of vehicle platforms from different automakers, and only a few adjustments are needed. Bozer did not disclose the manufacturer who used the product. Bozer also provides interior systems that can be used in different situations, such as seats that can adjust 360 directions.

Bozer also shows a motor assembly with a modular design of standardized components, which can be used for derivative plug-in hybrid models or traditional hybrid models on the platform of traditional fuel models. The system uses the 48V design standard adopted by the industry. Boze said that in the future, China's traditional fuel model manufacturers will gradually turn to hybrid, and this product is more suitable for China's domestic demand.

Bozer has 12 factories in China and employs about 4400 people in China. In 2018, its revenue in China totaled 1.2 billion euros, accounting for 19% of global sales. In the next three years, Boze will build an intelligent driving technology R & D center in China and provide Chinese manufacturers with autopilot system parts.
