AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)05/24 Report--

Francisco Carranza, general manager of Renault-Nissan Energy Services, said the battery used in its leaf electric car would extend the car's service life by 10 to 12 years. Since 2011, Nissan has collected the battery charge and discharge deterioration process of the 400000 Leafs sold in Europe.

Based on the 10-year life cycle of each car, Carranza sets the life of the power battery at 22 years. Carranza told the European press conference that we will recycle these power batteries.

Nissan has been actively seeking to reuse these batteries through technical means and use them to increase its profits and customer revenue. Nissan has many recycling programs for old batteries.

A three-megawatt power storage system is used at Allianz Football Stadium in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, using 148 recycled leaf-powered batteries. Nissan also provides solar panels and power storage systems for individual users. In the UK, the power storage system for individual users costs as little as $9700, and the system can generate photovoltaic power through solar panels during the day. When incorporated into the grid at peak times, the income generated can save each family at least £600 a year.
