On February 23, the signing ceremony of the Great Wall Motor Pinghu project was held in Hangzhou, which means that the eighth largest base of Great Wall Motor in China has officially settled in Pinghu, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, which is located in Pinghu Economic and technological Development Zone. It is understood that the signed project consists of three parts: the whole vehicle, the Yangtze River Delta R & D center and the Great Wall trip. The total investment of the project is about 11 billion yuan, covering an area of about 1200 mu. The whole vehicle project is scheduled to be put into operation in 2021.

Among them, the whole vehicle project will form a production capacity of 50,000 new energy passenger vehicles and 50,000 fuel vehicles; the Yangtze River Delta R & D Center is the third technology center of Great Wall Automobile, focusing on new energy and intelligence; and the travel project is "Ola Travel". To carry out car time-sharing rental, online car-hailing and long-and short-term rental business.

On February 20, the Great Wall formally signed a contract with the people's Government of Taizhou City to cooperate in the construction of a complete vehicle project. It is understood that the Great Wall Automobile Taizhou project in Jiangsu Province, with an initial investment of 8 billion yuan, will build a complete vehicle, interior and exterior decoration and chassis manufacturing project in the Gaogang area of Taizhou.

In January this year, Great Wall Automobile Rizhao production base in Shandong Province also officially started construction, putting into production of its high-end brand WEY series products, with an annual production capacity of 300000 units.

In less than two months, the three bases of Great Wall Motor's latest domestic investment were launched at the same time.

At present, in addition to having production bases in Baoding headquarters in Hebei, Xushui in Baoding and Binhai in Tianjin, the Yongchuan production base project in Chongqing will also be completed and put into production by the end of 2019, mainly producing high-end Great Wall pick-up trucks and Harvard H9 models. According to previous plans, with the completion of major production base projects in Zhangjiagang, Taizhou, Rizhao, Shandong and Pinghu, Zhejiang, Great Wall Motor will have eight vehicle production base projects in the Bohai Rim Economic Zone, the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone and the southwest, covering SUV, pick-up trucks and new energy products, greatly increase production capacity, and strengthen the research and development of new energy technologies. Great Wall plans to launch a number of new energy vehicle products and develop fuel cell vehicle technology.

At the same time, the center of gravity of the Great Wall Automobile stronghold in Baoding, Hebei Province, will also be tilted to the center of the developed automobile manufacturing industry.

In 2018, the total sales of Great Wall reached 1.05 million, down 1.6% from the same period last year, of which the Harvard brand sales fell 10% to 766000, accounting for nearly 73% of the nearly 73% of the focus Wey brand sales of nearly 140000.
