The engine crankcase ventilation pipe heater (PCV heater) of the vehicles within the scope of this recall may increase contact resistance due to moisture corrosion after long-term use due to material and manufacturing reasons, resulting in overheating and melting damage of the plastic shell when the heater works, increasing the risk of vehicle fire and posing potential safety hazards.

BMW Brilliance Automobile Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the improved PCV heater free of charge for the vehicles within the recall scope, and replace the damaged peripheral parts if necessary to eliminate potential safety hazards.
