The Department of Ecological Environment of Hebei Province issued a circular on the implementation of the sixth phase of the national air pollutant emission standard for light vehicles, and the national 6b emission standard was formally implemented on July 1.

According to the announcement, starting from July 1, 2019, light vehicles sold in Hebei, registered and transferred to other provinces should meet the "limits and Measurement methods for Pollutant Emission of Light vehicles (Phase VI in China)".

Before June 30, 2019 (including 30 days), light vehicles that have been sold and issued unified invoices for motor vehicles that meet the national five emission standards can still be registered; before June 30 (including 30 days), light vehicles that meet the national five emission standards can still be transferred within 30 days.

Statistics from the China Automobile Circulation Association show that at least 16 provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government have issued documents to implement the national six emission standards ahead of schedule in 2019, with the exception of Shenzhen, Beijing, Henan and Anhui, which have requirements for some heavy vehicles and diesel vehicles. Most of them are aimed at light vehicles.
