According to foreign media reports, BMW Group has made another personnel transfer. Uwe Dreyer (Uwe Dreher) will assume the position of vice president of North American marketing for the BMW Group and will replace Trudy Haddy. After taking office, Dreyer will be responsible for managing public relations and product planning in North America and reporting to BMW's North American CEO Bernhard Kuhnt. He previously served at the headquarters of BMW Group in Munich.

BMW performed very well in the US in the first quarter of 2019, slightly increasing by 0.1 per cent to 73888 over the same period and surpassing the second Mercedes-Benz by 2717. BMW X3 sold 6727 vehicles in the US in March, up 48 per cent from a year earlier. The BMW X7 also performed well, selling 2186 vehicles in March.
