A few days ago, Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products.

Recall models:

Recall some 2019 imported Jaguar I-PACE vehicles manufactured from April 11, 2018 to January 7, 2019, a total of 254 vehicles.

Reasons for recall:

Due to the software setting of the vehicles within the scope of this recall, if the electric regenerative braking system does not intervene in the work as required by the driver during braking, the response time of the compensated braking force of the friction braking system does not meet the requirements of "Technical requirements and Test methods of passenger vehicle braking system" GB 21670-2008. In this case, the driver may feel the deceleration of the vehicle in a very short time, and there is a safety hidden danger.

Solution:

Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will upgrade the powertrain control module software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
