According to domestic media reports, Shan Zhidong, former chief marketing minister of Dongfeng Yulong and former senior vice president of Zhengdao Group, officially joined Guanzhi Automobile on May 30 and served as vice president and general manager of Guanzhi Automobile sales company.
Shan Zhidong has entered the automobile industry since graduating from Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology in 1990, and has successively served as deputy section chief, section chief and department manager of FAW. After 2001, Dongfeng Motor cooperated with Taiwan Yulong Group to set up Guangzhou Fengshen.
Shan Zhidong, under the age of 35, became in charge of Dongfeng Nissan sales in 2003 and became the youngest sales boss in China at the time, before becoming Dongfeng Yulong's chief marketing minister in 2011.
Under his leadership, Dongfeng Yulong achieved zero inventory and break even for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012, and achieved a breakthrough with You6 in 2014, with sales exceeding 50,000 vehicles that year. Shan Zhidong left Dongfeng Yulong in 2015 and reappeared in the auto circle as senior vice president of Zhengdao Group in March 2017 after two years of rest.
However, at present, the total sales of Dongfeng Yulong's four models, namely, Nazhijie 3, Nazhijie U5 SUV, You6 SUV and Big 7 MPV, are only more than 300 in March 2019, which is less than the average daily sales of some independent brands, and the brands are completely marginalized.
The current situation of Qoros is not very good, with sales of only 30 vehicles in April, down 99.4% from a year earlier, and cumulative sales of only 854 this year. After Guanzhi was acquired by Baoneng, sales also ushered in a brief increase, and monthly sales finally exceeded 2000 vehicles, but the good times did not last long, and now it has returned to double digits.
