BYD announced last night that Wu Jingsheng, the company's senior vice president and chief financial officer, resigned because of age and personal reasons. Details of BYD's official announcement are as follows.

The board of directors of BYD Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company" or the "Company") received a written resignation report submitted by Wu Jingsheng, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company on May 31, 2019. Wu Jingsheng applied to resign as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer due to age and personal reasons, and will then serve as a consultant to the company.

Wu Jingsheng's resignation will not affect the standardized operation of the company in accordance with the law, nor will it affect the normal operation and development of the company. The company and the board of directors express their heartfelt thanks to Wu Jingsheng for his contribution to the development of the company during his tenure.

BYD's board of directors announced the appointment of company accountant Zhou Yalin as BYD's financial director, who will no longer serve as BYD's chief accountant from May 31, 2019 to the end of the sixth BYD board of directors.

BYD's results for the first quarter of 2019 showed that BYD grew by 22.50 yuan in the first quarter of 2019, with revenue of 30.304 billion yuan and net profit of 750 million yuan for listed companies, an increase of 631.98 percent over the same period last year.

BYD sold 37000 vehicles in April, up 1.3% from a year earlier and down 21% from March. Among them, sales of new energy vehicles were 24011, accounting for 63.46% of BYD's total car sales, an increase of 10093 over the same period last year.
