Honda officially released terminal car sales in May 2019 on June 5. Guangzhou Auto Honda and Dongfeng Honda sold 136486 vehicles in China in May, up 37.4% from a year earlier, the best in May. Cumulative sales from January to May were 597027, up 19.1 per cent from a year earlier.

Among them, Guangzhou Auto Honda sold 68642 vehicles in May, up 34.2% from the same period last year, up 14.1% from January to May, while Dongfeng Honda sold 67844 vehicles in May, up 40.9% from a year earlier. it broke the sales record for a single month in May. Cumulative sales from January to May were 281762 vehicles, up 25.3% over the same period, maintaining a relatively strong growth trend.

At present, it can be said that it is a cold winter in the automobile industry, while Honda can still maintain a very strong upward trend. It mainly relies on Guangzhou Auto Honda's Accord, Feido, and Ling Pai, as well as Dongfeng Honda's CR-V, Civic and XR-V models, all of which are best-selling models, with monthly sales of more than 10, 000 vehicles.

Among them, the tenth generation of Accord reached 18252, which can be said to be the "great hero" of Guangzhou Auto Honda. As of May this year, since the 10th generation Accord went on the market one year ago, the cumulative sales of the terminal has exceeded 200000, continuing to lead the medium and high-end car market. And Dongfeng Honda's INSPIRE may be affected by Accord, sales are not excellent.

In addition, the Feido is still a model to be reckoned with, with sales of more than 10,000 cars in May, and Ling Pai, a new model that went on sale last year, is also a new growth point, with cumulative sales exceeding 90,000 since its launch last year. On April 29th, the new hybrid Odyssey totaled 1220 vehicles, demonstrating the strong strength of environmental protection and technology.

Civic, which is responsible for Dongfeng Honda's sales, has sold more than 10,000 vehicles for 15 months in a row, and the figure of 13735 vehicles in May this year is not excellent compared with its own, but considering that the car has gone through a buffer period for medium-term changes, sales will be partially affected in a month or two. CR-V sales in May totaled 16951 vehicles, up 83.65% from a year earlier, and there is also a reason for the rise in CR-V, which is currently in a period of recovery from last year's increase in engine oil.

Among the small SUV, Dongfeng Honda's XR-V sales also performed better, with sales of 17561 vehicles in May, up 18.35 per cent from a year earlier. However, while the market performance continues to improve, Honda is also stepping up efforts to update and upgrade its products, and Honda is expected to release new colorful Intelligence and XR-V models in the second half of the year.

Judging from Honda's performance, in fact, Honda's sales growth is mainly concentrated in two aspects, one is quality, the other is youth. As far as Honda's current models are concerned, they are obviously more inclined to young consumers in design, coupled with Honda's long-standing reputation, which is the main reason why the brand's sales continue to rise.
