Recently, Great Wall officially announced that the Russian Tula plant of Great Wall Motor has been officially completed and put into production in early June, while Great Wall's first "global car", Harvard F7, will also be listed overseas, with a guiding price of 1449000 rubles (RMB 153900). The offline of Harvard F7 also means that Great Wall will enter the Russian market.

On June 5, the heads of state of China and Russia met with Great Wall Motor Chairman Wei Jianjun in the Kremlin in Moscow and witnessed the signing of the second phase investment agreement between Great Wall Motor and Tula Prefecture and their signatures on the first "global car", the Harvard F7.

The Tula plant is the first of the four wholly-owned manufacturing plants of Great Wall overseas, with an investment of US $500 million in the first phase of the project and a planned production capacity of 80,000 vehicles in the first phase. After realizing the local production, the new factory can not only reduce the cost and reduce the pressure of competition, but also establish a good brand image all over the world. In addition, the factory has local R & D capability, and the commissioning of production will also enhance the radiation capacity of Great Wall to the Eastern European market.

For Russia, the completion of the Tula plant and the mass production of Harvard F7 may greatly promote the development of Russia's local economy. As the largest industrial project in Russia, the total output value of the factory will exceed 13 billion yuan, realize profits and taxes of more than 3 billion yuan, and stimulate the employment of about 4000 local people.

Since its launch in November last year, the Harvard F7, the new flagship model of the Harvard SUV, has sold more than 60, 000 vehicles in less than six months, topping 10, 000 for five consecutive months. In the future, including the F7x, H9 and subsequent new platform products will be put into production at the Great Wall Tula factory. At present, the number of Harvard in the Russian market has exceeded 100000, the number of brand dealers has reached 35, and this number will rise to about 80 this year.

As one of the first Chinese car companies to "go abroad", Great Wall Motor has carried out export business in more than 60 countries around the world, covering more than 50 countries in Africa, South America, Asia-Pacific and Australia, and has now exported more than 600000 sets. Compared with the developed countries with relatively saturated market, Russia has important strategic significance for the improvement of overseas sales of Great Wall Motor. The completion and commissioning of the Tula plant not only promotes the globalization strategy of Great Wall Automobile to a new height, but also opens a new journey for the globalization of Chinese automobile brands.
