AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/06 Report--
A few days ago, Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Starting from October 7,2019, a total of 42070 Panamera series vehicles imported from November 1,2010 to September 13,2016 will be recalled.
Recall model:
Recall some imported 2011-2016 Panamera series vehicles manufactured between November 1,2010 and September 13,2016, totaling 42070 vehicles.
Reason for recall:
For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, moisture in the air may penetrate into the control unit due to insufficient tightness of the air conditioner blower regulator control unit. When the moisture condenses into water droplets to a certain extent, it may cause failure and short circuit inside the control unit. In extreme cases, the risk of fire cannot be ruled out, resulting in potential safety hazard.
Recall protocol:
Porsche (China) Auto Sales Co., Ltd. will commission authorized Porsche Centres nationwide to inspect the vehicles in the scope of the recall free of charge from 24 June 2019, and temporarily install sealing strips and relays on the air conditioner blower regulator control unit according to the inspection results to reduce the risk of short circuit in the control unit. After the recall is officially implemented on October 7,2019, Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the improved air conditioner blower regulator control unit free of charge for defective vehicles within the recall scope to eliminate safety hazards.
