Mr. Luo was driving an Audi Q5SUV model purchased three years ago, which cost a total of more than 400,000 yuan. After the incident, Mr. Luo immediately called the Audi manufacturer to explain the situation. The Audi manufacturer replied that the situation had been recorded pending further processing, and designated Yunnan Liandi Audi 4S store to detect and deal with the fault. After the accident, the vehicle passed the 4S store and found that due to the fracture of the engine spring, the piston in the engine impacted the cylinder block, resulting in engine damage and explosion.

Due to engine quality problems need to be replaced, but what worries Mr. Luo is that 4S stores and manufacturers have been passing the buck. In more than 10 days, Mr. Luo's vehicle maintenance has not been completed.

The original inspection side of the Yunnan Liandi Audi 4S store will test the situation has been feedback to Audi manufacturers, and put forward a plan to replace the engine. Audi manufacturers rejected the plan and refused to replace the engine for Mr. Luo's vehicle free of charge.

Why do Audi manufacturers reject the engine replacement proposal put forward by Yunnan Liandi? In an interview with Manager Yang, the service director of Yunnan Liandi Audi 4S store, he replied: "the manufacturer believes that the maintenance record of Mr. Luo's car in the 4S store is incomplete and has exceeded the warranty period set by Audi for more than 3 months. It is not within the scope of free replacement during the warranty period."

Mr. Luo believes that this result is unreasonable. Since then, Mr. Luo has contacted Audi manufacturers many times and complained to 12315 consumers about the hotline response, which has not been dealt with. Because there is no disposal plan, Mr. Luo's car has been torn apart and has been idle in the repair shop of the 4S store.

The manufacturer did not give a specific solution, and the 4S store that made the maintenance could not handle it. So can Audi 4S store, which sells cars, solve the problem? Mr. Luo said that the original sales of the 4S store has been closed, merged into the Chitai Audi 4S store, in the face of Mr. Luo reflected many times, the dealer is also ambiguous, has been unable to give specific opinions and answers. At present, no plan is given for the time being.

In an interview with Mr. Wang, the technical director of Chitai Audi 4S store, Mr. Wang said that there were problems with Mr. Luo's vehicle, which they had been aware of and had been coordinating with Audi manufacturers to deal with. Because the vehicle has not been maintained in the 4S store, and does not know the state and maintenance of the vehicle before the accident, the cause of the engine explosion is the quality of the engine. They will report the specific situation to the senior management of the company as soon as possible, and after consulting the leaders of the company, they will come up with the maintenance plan as soon as possible, and then the two sides will consult and communicate with each other.

An industry source revealed: the probability of engine spring breaking is very small. If such a fault occurs, it is likely to be a defect in the engine itself and a problem in the quality of the engine parts. But at the same time, the maintenance of the engine is also very important, and it is necessary to trace the maintenance process of the car. If the owner has carried out maintenance outside, it is difficult to guarantee the quality of the oil. Audi has recalled many times because of engine hidden dangers. Since 2019, Audi's joint venture FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "FAW-Volkswagen") has twice carried out a record recall plan with the General Administration of Market Supervision and Administration because of engine-related hidden dangers.

On May 31st, FAW-Volkswagen mentioned in the recall plan that pre-damage to the inner wall of the low-pressure fuel pipe of individual engines during the assembly process may lead to fuel leakage from the low-pressure fuel pipe. In extreme cases, if the fire source may lead to fire, there are safety risks, it will recall a total of 2505 vehicles including domestic Audi A4L and Q5L. At the beginning of March, due to the unstable plastic welding process of engine low-pressure oil rail parts in the supplier manufacturing process, FAW-Volkswagen recalled more than 70, 000 imported and domestic Audi vehicles equipped with V6-TFSI engines. This recall includes imported Audi A5, A5 cabriolet, A8L, domestic Audi A6L and so on.

With regard to the engine explosion problem in Mr. Luo's vehicle and the previous recall of the vehicles involved by FAW-Volkswagen, we can know that FAW-Volkswagen has problems in the quality control of the core parts of its products. Audi, as a car manufacturer with a history of a hundred years, has lax quality control in the spring parts used in an engine. Such problems will damage the company's image and deal a blow to consumer confidence.
