AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/10 Report--

Recently, Tesla manufacturers have asked for a downgrade of the system software, which has become one of the topics of public opinion.

In this regard, according to the first financial news, Tesla said: "There is no downgrade in the Chinese market", only in some different versions of the model, only the software settings are different, but the hardware configuration is basically the same.

Earlier, foreign media reported that Tesla announced a software downgrade of some of the Model 3 vehicles already delivered, and the company found that the features and configurations of the cheaper version of the Model 3 were actually enjoyed by the higher-priced version, so it was necessary to withdraw these features and configurations.

Some customers bought the $35,000 standard Model 3, but upon delivery they discovered that the vehicle's various configurations were actually "standard plus" versions, which retail for nearly $40,000. Tesla said in an email to consumers that it would downgrade performance through software updates because the $35,000 Model 3 theoretically could not get the standard plus version performance configuration.

In response to this statement, Tesla said that there is no such problem in China at present. Only for customers in North America, when selecting Model 3, an upgraded version can be provided to customers for use. After trial, they can choose to continue to use or switch back to the standard version, and continue to use it requires paying the price difference of the upgraded version. In the Chinese market, however, the standard version is available, so there will be no such problems.
