Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. released the latest sales figures, its passenger car sector accumulated sales of 77933 units from January to May, down 11.8% from the same period last year. A total of 16745 passenger cars were sold in May, an increase of 21.6% over the same period last year. This is also the second monthly sales increase in 2019.

In terms of passenger car market segments, sales of MPV models in May were 3247, down 50.88% from January to May, down 43.13% from January to May. The decline was also the largest in the passenger car sector. Jianghuai's MPV ranges from 6.48 yuan to 349500 yuan, covering entry-level to high-end products, but most models cost around 100000 yuan. Entry-level models are also impacted by best-selling models such as Baojun and BYD. Positioning high-end M6, not only by the joint venture products Odyssey, GL8 block, but also Chuanqi GM8, Geely Jiaji and other domestic models impact, sales can not get out of the predicament.

As for cars and SUV models, the cumulative sales of SUV models were 7667 in May, up 79.81 per cent from January to May, up 2.88 per cent from January to May. With the Ruifeng S4 with Volkswagen technology, sales have risen sharply, and the product power has also been enhanced compared with the previous Ruifeng series SUV.

The cumulative sales of car models in May were 5831, nearly double that of the same period last year to 101.96%. From January to May, the cumulative sales of sedan models were 18555, up 12.27% from a year earlier. Rely on Ruifeng A60 high performance price to seize market share. And Jianghuai plans to launch a new platform-built car at the end of this year, which is of the same class as Lang Yi and co-produced with Volkswagen.

In the new energy sector, Jianghuai Motor nearly doubled its sales growth by relying on IEVS4. In May, Jianghuai New Energy vehicle sales reached 7684, a year-on-year increase of 187.79% to 29223 from January to May, up 60.8% from a year earlier. At present, it is still in the transitional period of the new energy policy, and Jianghuai has withstood the pressure of the transitional period. Jianghuai's new energy models are all pure electric models, and the sales of its pure electric models are basically the same as BAIC's new energy.

Prior to this, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment issued a notice on May 5 that Jianghuai Automobile was suspected of defective motor vehicle pollution control devices and sold at the factory pretending to be qualified products for emission inspection, which would be severely punished and planned to hold a hearing on the case. JAC Motor issued a clarification notice on the 10th that more than 700 emission trucks have been sold in the Beijing market. The impact of the incident on the company is uncertain.

According to the performance report, JAC Motor's operating income reached 50.161 billion yuan in 2018, an increase of 1.95% over the same period last year, but the net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was a loss of 786 million yuan, down 282% from the same period last year.
