AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/14 Report--
According to relevant sources, the Guoneng Motor acquired by Evergrande was originally scheduled for mass production in June, but the launch date will be delayed because the technical test has not yet been completed.
Evergrande has newly registered a "Sono" trademark, the new car may be named "Sono", and said at a 2018 results conference that it plans to start production in June 2019, according to the official website of the Trademark Office of the State intellectual property Office. This will be Evergrande's first electric car.
This is also the second time that NEVS 9-3EV "stood us up" after delaying mass production in June last year. It is understood that the NEVS 9-3EV started trial production in December 2017, when Guineng announced that it would officially take off the production line in June 2018, but there was a delay soon.
Starting from 2018, Evergrande will put the exploration of high-tech industry closer to the strategic plan, and include new energy, aerospace, artificial intelligence, life science stem cells and the Internet of things in the plan. Evergrande has publicly announced that the annual production target of 5 million new energy vehicles may be achieved in the next 10 years. To this end, Evergrande has invested about 200 billion for it.
At the beginning of this year, Evergrande joined the Swedish NEVS, formed a joint venture with the world's top luxury car manufacturer Koenigsegg, acquired vehicle R & D and manufacturing capacity, acquired Kanai, acquired Japan's top power battery technology, and then successively joined e-Traction of the Netherlands and Protean of the United Kingdom, fully mastering advanced hub motor technology.
At present, Evergrande's layout in the new energy vehicle industry has involved from vehicle production, to battery supply, and then to dealers, almost covering the entire automobile industry chain, with a total investment of nearly 30 billion yuan.
A few days ago, Evergrande Group also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guangzhou Municipal people's Government to invest 160 billion in the construction of three new energy vehicle bases in Nansha District, Guangzhou, covering the upstream and downstream industrial chains from vehicle production, batteries, motors, and dealers.
In addition to the obstacles encountered in mass production, due to Evergrande's lack of industrial foundation and supply chain management experience of new energy vehicles, how to integrate the technology and resources of M & A companies into car construction is also a big challenge. Recently, Xu Jiayin, chairman of Evergrande Group, and his party were invited to inspect South Korea's SK Group and will carry out in-depth cooperation in new energy vehicles, power batteries and other fields. Power battery can be said to be the "heart" of new energy vehicles, is the highest value-added link in the new energy vehicle industry chain, and ranks first among the three core technologies in the development of new energy vehicles.
And relevant people speculate that Evergrande's launch of mass production may be related to this visit to South Korea to inspect the SK Group.
In its 2018 annual report, Evergrande Group reported revenue of 466.191 billion yuan and net profit of 66.547 billion yuan in 2018, an increase of nearly 80 per cent over the same period last year. However, the performance of Evergrande Health changed from positive to negative in 2018, of which the new energy vehicle business lost 1.7 billion yuan.
