On February 26th, Volkswagen Quanxinzi brand "Jetta" was officially launched in Wolfsburg, Germany. Combined with previous Volkswagen new car plans, the two new cars should be the SUV model "VS5" and the sedan model "VA3".
The VS5 model is positioned as a compact SUV. As can be seen from the official map, the front face of the new car is designed with a hexagonal intake grille, the grille is decorated with chrome, and the "Jetta" logo is used in the middle. The grille is connected to the headlight group to form a horizontal Y shape, and there are several raised lines on the top of the engine cover.
The design of the side line of the new car is simple, and the Y-shaped light source is also used in the taillight group, and the bottom silver anti-friction board echoes with the front.
The front design of the VA3 is the same as that of the VS5, while the overall profile is similar to that of the Volkswagen Jetta on sale. It is estimated that the new car is the "brand change" of the old Jetta.
The power side is also officially announced, but the two new cars should still be equipped with Volkswagen's common EA211 series engines, and the transmission system may also match a seven-speed double clutch or 6AT gearbox.
According to the plan, the Jetta brand will launch three models in 2019, an entry compact sedan (VA3), a compact SUV (VS5) and a leapfrog compact SUV (VS7), with a price range of 5 to 150000 yuan. Officials have explained that the Jetta brand is aimed at men between the ages of 25 and 35, with German craftsmanship and meeting user expectations as the main selling points.
