FAW Hongqi medium-sized SUV HS5 has been officially launched on May 26, with a guidance price of 183,800 - 249,800 yuan, becoming the first mass-produced SUV of Hongqi brand. According to official sources, the Red Flag HS7 is equipped with a 3.0T supercharged engine and matched with an 8AT gearbox. It can be expected that the price of the car will be around 300,000 yuan.

At the 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show, the Red Flag HS7 was officially launched, based on the 2016 Red Flag S-Concept concept car. The overall appearance design of HS7 is basically the same as that of HS5 currently on sale. It has a huge red flag brand signature straight waterfall air intake grille of size. There is a red decoration running through the center of the engine cover and the center of the air intake grille, which is the evolution of the red flag. Red flag brand front face modeling, has always been a bit domineering, recognition is also high.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Hongqi HS7 are 5035/1989/1778mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3008mm, positioning medium and large SUV.

The center console of the Red Flag HS7 is very spacious, and rectangular elements are used in details such as air conditioning outlets. On the center console, the new car features wood trim panels, leather wraps on the door panels and seats, chrome trim strips and white diamond stitching to create a sense of luxury. In addition, the new car is also equipped with electronic gear handle, four-spoke multi-function steering wheel and so on.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 3.0T V6 supercharged engine with model CA6 GV 30TD, which is said to be independently developed by FAW Hongqi. The maximum power is 338 horsepower (248 kW), the peak torque is 445N·m, and the technologies such as in-cylinder direct injection, clutch water pump, water-cooled exhaust manifold, variable tumble flow, etc. are adopted. Matching it is the Aixin 8-speed automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system.

Since the launch of the Red Flag Renaissance Plan, new models such as Red Flag brand H5 and HS5 have been launched one after another, and sales have risen. FAW Chairman Xu Liuping revealed that in the first five months of this year, Hongqi brand achieved sales of nearly 26,000 vehicles, an increase of more than 300% year-on-year, and the performance in the whole market reached the predetermined target. In addition to the launch of the flag HS7 and the improvement of the product matrix, it will further enhance the sales volume of the red flag brand.
