GM is considering introducing an electric model to revive the gas-guzzling old brand. He is a Hummer with a hard-looking beauty. This kind of thought may have an indescribable feeling. For now, however, electrifying Hummer is just an idea that GM is considering.

GM insiders believe that the Hummer is a hard-line product that can become an ideal electric car product to sell. But relying on GM's strong technical strength, it will not be difficult to launch a new car that uses the Hummer brand and shares technology with GM pickups.

Hummer was retained by GM after it went bankrupt in 2009, but stopped selling in 2010. At the time, the 10-mile-per-gallon Hummer H2 made the brand a symbol of carmakers' indifference to global warming. The weight of the car was too heavy, beyond the scope of the federal fuel economy test, angered environmentalists, and the Hummer gradually disappeared.

The study also points out that designers have made a model of the new Hummer concept car, while other GM insiders say the revamped Hummer will focus partly on vehicle comfort and ease of use to compete with Jeep in civilian cars.

GM President Mark Reuss has said in a media interview that he will continue to accelerate the pace of electric transformation, and for future electric pickup products, he hopes to launch electric pickups that are comparable to existing ones and can reduce drivers' anxiety about battery life and charging.

General Motors is not the only one with an idea. Tesla had expected his electric pickup truck to be unveiled this summer.
