This year, Beijing Mercedes-Benz finally released a map of a blockbuster domestic new car, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the declaration information for Beijing Mercedes-Benz's new model GLB, which is positioned as a five-seat compact luxury SUV with the same 1.3T engine as Mercedes-Benz's A-class. It is reported that the car will be officially offline in Shunyi, Beijing, in September, so it is expected to go on sale by the end of the year.

Different from the off-road style concept car displayed at the auto show, the domestic car returns to the family compact SUV style, the front face is still the iconic grille shape of Mercedes-Benz, and the overall design is square. The tail adopts the latest style of Mercedes-Benz, and the interior of the lamp group will be equipped with a circular LED light belt.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of domestic Mercedes-Benz GLBs are 4638/1834/1687mm, wheelbase is 2829mm, positioning is compact SUV, and the interior provides 5-seat and 7-seat options. The car is based on the Mercedes-Benz MFA platform and belongs to the same architecture platform as the current A-Class, B-Class and CLA-Class.

At present, the declaration information of Beijing Mercedes-Benz only shows that it is equipped with a high-power version of 1.3T four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is the same as the A-class engine of Mercedes-Benz, with a maximum horsepower of 163Ps and a maximum torque of 250N ·m, matched by a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. The 2.0T model should be launched in the follow-up.

Mercedes-Benz GLB as GLA and GLC positioning and price range models, it can be expected that the GLB starting price around 300000 yuan.
