According to foreign media reports, Audi issued a notice in the United States to recall e-tron, the world's first pure electric SUV model, and Audi officials said it was recalling 1644 e-tron models, of which 544 have been delivered, due to the potential risk of battery fire.

It is understood that the risk stems from a defective wire harness seal between Audi's "e-tron" battery pack and the charging connector, which may make part of the battery seal easily broken, causing moisture (moisture) to enter the compartment of the battery module, causing corrosion of the parts over time, and in serious cases may cause the battery pack to short circuit or even cause fire.

Audi initially discovered that the yellow battery warning lights on five e-tron dashboards were lit automatically, and then Audi realized the problem and issued a recall message to the car owner by phone and email. Of the 1644 e-tron recalled, 544 have been delivered to customers. However, so far, e-tron has no record of serious accidents caused by this failure.

Audi's first pure electric SUV "e-tron" was delayed in 2018 because of software problems, and the delivery time was delayed again in February this year because of a shortage of batteries. But this time Audi wants to recall the few e-tron on the market, can Audi's "electrification development strategy" really be realized?

China is the largest automobile market in the world, and it is also the largest market for new energy vehicles in the world. Audi plans to introduce e-tron models into China as imported cars this year and start to make China in 2020. However, the recall is likely to delay Audi's promotion plans in China.
