AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/18 Report--

The frequent spontaneous combustion of electric vehicles has once again attracted attention, especially for Lulai, which burned three in two months, causing it to fall into a storm of spontaneous combustion. Earlier, Li Bin, chairman of Lulai, responded that electric car fire is a probabilistic event, and the fire probability is not higher than that of fuel vehicles. Recently, Li Bin talked about the spontaneous combustion of electric vehicles, which he believes is safer than fuel vehicles.

In the media interview program, Li Bin believes that the spontaneous combustion of electric vehicles is a probability problem. In terms of quantity, there are many more fuel vehicles than electric vehicles, and in terms of proportion, they may also be higher than electric vehicles.

"gasoline is deflagration, but the electric car usually takes a few minutes from the smoke to the final fire," Li Bin said of the spontaneous combustion accident caused by the chassis impact of the authorized service center ES8 in Xi'an. "from this point of view, the electric car will be better."

By the end of May, 17550 ES8 vehicles had been delivered and there were three cases of malfunctioning spontaneous combustion. On April 22nd, a NIO ES8 under maintenance in Xi'an NIO Service Center spontaneously ignited until it was burned out, which attracted attention from all walks of life. NIO said the accident was caused by the impact of the vehicle on the chassis before it was sent for repair.

On May 16, smoke broke out from the ES8 in the basement of a residential district in Jiading, Shanghai.

An ES8 caught fire and burst into flames in a parking lot in Wuhan on June 14. NIO said it had launched an investigation and would announce it in time after the cause was identified.

Netizens have different views on Li Bin's remarks. Some netizens said that pretending to be confused with a clear understanding is unreliable.
