BMW officially released the official map of the BMW 8-Series four-door version. With the release of the 8-Series GranCoupe, the camp of the 8-Series models is becoming more and more comprehensive, from two-door hardtop, two-door convertible, four-door, M8 and so on. The new car locates a large four-door sedan car that focuses on sports. The model will also go into production in July and will compete with models such as the Mercedes-AMG GT four-door coupe and the Porsche Panamera.

The 8-series GranCoupe basically continues the design idea of the 8-series Coupe, using an integrated double-kidney shaped middle net, a front and rear bumper with the same details and a front and rear light group. Equipped with BMW's latest LED laser headlights with a range of up to 600m, and equipped with a number of BMW M sports kits, including large rims, upgraded braking systems, and carbon fiber roofs.

In terms of body size, compared with the double-door Coupe, the length increases by 231mm, reaching 5082mm, and the wheelbase increases by 201mm, reaching 3023mm. Of course, there is a corresponding increase in width and height, 30mm and 61mm, respectively.

8-series Gran Coupe also maintains the layout and design style of 8-series Coupe. Equipped with sports steering wheel, crystal handle, using 2x2 seat layout. According to official information, front passengers have provided a so-called climate seat design, which, through a unique air diversion design, allows the seat to reach the desired temperature setting faster and provide higher comfort.

In terms of power, the 8-series Gran Coupe is equipped with a 3.0L in-line 6-cylinder engine with twin-turbine turbocharging technology, with a maximum output power of 250kW (340Ps) and a maximum torque of 500Nm. With an 8-speed Steptronic motion self-integrated transmission with a shift pick, the acceleration time of 100 km is only 4.9s. The M850i xDrive is equipped with 4.4T V8 gasoline engine, maximum power 390kW (530Ps), peak torque 750Nm, transmission matching 8-speed manual self-integrated transmission, 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.6s.

BMW announced the official opening of the 8-Series pre-sale, with the cheapest four-door version priced from 970000 yuan.

BMW launched the 8-Series in 1987 and officially stopped production of the series in 1999. In order to meet the needs of different consumers and strive for more market share, the BMW 8-Series has returned to everyone after a lapse of nearly 20 years.
