Ten departments, including the Development and Reform Commission of Hebei Province and the Provincial Department of Commerce, jointly issued the "Promotion Plan for Ethanol Gasoline in Hebei Province," Hebei Daily reported. According to the plan, promoting the use of ethanol gasoline for vehicles is a national strategic measure, which is of great significance to improving the air quality in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and promoting the economic transformation and development of the whole province.

On the basis of closed operation of vehicle ethanol gasoline in 6 cities in the south of Hebei Province, since June 1,2019, the use of vehicle ethanol gasoline has been promoted in Chengde, Zhangjiakou, Tangshan, Qinhuangdao and Langfang. By the end of December, the whole province will be closed. Except for military special needs, national and special reserves and industrial production oil, ethanol gasoline for vehicles in the whole province will basically replace ordinary gasoline.
