AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/19 Report--
According to overseas media reports, Aston Martin officially announced that the new AM-RB 003 will be named Valhalla. Valhalla is the temple of Odin in Norse mythology, which is also an echo of Valkyrie.
The new car is positioned as a super sports car with a mid-engine layout, limited to 500 units worldwide, equipped with a hybrid powertrain consisting of V6 engine and electric motor. The new car uses a lot of technology from F1 racing cars. This is also Aston Martin's third mid-engine sports car. It was previously unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
Valhalla's design continues the family design philosophy, similar to Aston Martin Valkyrie, with large exhaust vents on the side size of the body providing even better aerodynamics. The door itself includes part of the roof, and the forward 45-degree opening makes it easier to get on and off. The new car will also benefit from deformable aerodynamic surface technology for future aircraft, making the entire tail a variable aerodynamic airfoil.
Sharkfin fins and large diffusers provide greater downforce. The sci-fi taillights and the addition of the tail diffuser make the tail look very combat. The exhaust port is located at the rear of the top of the vehicle.
In addition, most of the interior materials of the new car are made by 3D printing, which brings more than 50% weight reduction effect to the interior of the new car. To create optimum visibility, the dashboard display is mounted on the steering column so that the driver's view of the dashboard information is not obscured by the steering wheel rim.
The new car is equipped with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a V6 engine and an electric motor. More detailed power parameters have not yet been announced, but the maximum power is expected to exceed 746kW (1014Ps).
The new car incorporates many new technological elements, including an all-carbon fiber body, a 3D printed central control system and a tail wing made of deformable aerodynamic surface technology.
