C-ECAP test, Chinese full name "China eco-vehicle evaluation rules", C-ECAP test is regarded as the highest gold content of Chinese eco-vehicle evaluation standard, mainly from the "health, energy saving, environmental protection" three aspects, the vehicle internal air quality, interior noise, harmful substances, comprehensive fuel consumption, exhaust emissions and other items are evaluated to provide consumers with sufficient and accurate vehicle ecological safety information.

Among thousands of C-ECAP models, nearly 80 per cent of new cars were rejected because their eco-design rates were not up to standard. In the test of 5000 models on the market, the odds of winning platinum, gold, silver and bronze are 0.5%, 1%, 5% and 15% respectively.

It is reported that the 2015 version of C-ECAP has evaluated a total of 39 models from 10 batches of 23 enterprises. According to the C-ECAP evaluation rules, if you get the bronze medal or above, it can be recognized as an ecological model. It is estimated that the proportion of eco-vehicles in the industry has increased from 17.8% in 2015 to 59.6% in 2018, an increase of 41.8%.

In this evaluation, the independent brand is better than the joint venture brand in the air quality and harmful substances in the car, but there is still a gap between the independent brand and the joint venture brand in the comprehensive fuel consumption and exhaust emission project, among which Panda got full marks in the exhaust emission project.

In the evaluation results, there are three white gold medals, Geely's Xingyue and Kaiji, as well as Audi's A4 and Nissan Sunda, the highest score is Geely's Jiaji, with a total score of 101.24, the BMW 5-Series is the gold medal, Haima S5 and BAIC Saab are silver medals.

Before March 15 this year, there has been a hot search for a long time about whether the air in Audi cars can cause cancer. Zhuang Hengguo, director of the Automobile Evaluation Department of the C-ECAP Management Center, believes that although this is the result of third-party evaluation and the lack of national standards, it is actually an opportunity for C-ECAP.

Before testing other projects, C-ECAP will complete a run-in of 3000 kilometers by professionals driving a new car to ensure the accuracy of the test.

With the continuous promotion of C-ECAP work and the expansion of the market, more and more models are evaluated, and whether a car is harmful to the human body, C-ECAP undoubtedly fills this gap.
