Among them, pure electric models accounted for 96.2%, mixed models accounted for 3.6%, and the rest were installed for fuel cell models.

The electric installed capacity in May 2019 mainly comes from pure electric vehicles. Production of pure electric passenger vehicles in May was 81000, with 3.78GWh installed, accounting for 56.5 per cent of the total installed capacity. In other vehicle segments, as the output of mixed passenger cars fell by 24.5% compared with the previous month, the installed capacity also dropped by 32.1%. The passenger cars are not much different from the previous month, so the installed capacity is basically the same as the previous month. Due to the increase in production of pure electric special vehicles to 8940 from 1773 in April, the installed capacity increased to 756.5MWh in May, up 53.7% from the previous month.

According to the data, Ningde Times, which ranked first, fell 1.7% month-on-month, mainly due to the decline in the installed capacity of pure electric passenger cars and pure electric vehicles. The installed capacity in May was 2.5GWh, and the main supporting car companies were BAIC New Energy, Shanghai passenger cars and Geely cars. The battery type is basically ternary material batteries. The installed capacity of passenger cars in May is 667.6MWh, and the main supporting enterprises are Yutong bus, Shenwo bus, Changjiang Automobile and so on.

In second place, BYD's installed capacity fell 36.1% in May from a month earlier, the first time BYD's share of the power battery market has fallen below 20% since 2019. The main reason is that the output of BYD passenger cars suffered a "halving" in May, resulting in a 43% drop in the installed capacity of power batteries on BYD passenger cars from the previous month.

The growth momentum of Guoxuan Hi-Tech is becoming more and more obvious, rising from the 18th of last month to the third place. Guoxuan Hi-Tech installed 513.07MWh in May, with a market share of 9.0%, an increase of 83.1% from the previous month.

Also due to the increase in commercial vehicle capacity, Yiwei Lithium Energy, which has been ranked higher, has reached half of BYD's installed capacity in May, an increase of 580% compared with the previous month, with supporting car companies from Geely Sichuan Commercial vehicles and Dongfeng Automobile. The installed capacity of Yiwei Lithium Energy in May has reached half that of BYD.

The linked Tianyi, which ranked sixth in May, all its installed capacity comes from Xiaopeng G3. This is mainly due to the monthly increase in production of the Xiaopeng G3, which produced 3679 vehicles in May.

Xinwangda rose to seventh place in May, with 118.82MWh installed, up 191.1% from a month earlier, mainly due to a sharp increase in S50EV production of Geely Dihao EV and Dongfeng Liuqi.

Lishen returned to the rankings in May and climbed to fourth. The company with the largest number of Lishen battery passenger cars is Jianghuai. Due to the unstable monthly output of the above models, the installed capacity of Lishen battery is quite unstable.

The installed capacity of multi-fluorine and multi-fluorine has increased. At present, multi-fluorine is only equipped with Chery eQ1. In May, eQ1 production rose to 2916 vehicles from 2149 in April, an increase of 35.7% from the previous month.
