AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/26 Report--
As of Tuesday local time, Tesla had added more than 61000 new orders and delivered more than 49000 new cars in the North American market in the second quarter of this year, according to relevant media reports.
Tesla delivered 22000 vehicles in North America in June, but it is still a long way from the delivery target of 33000. In addition, Tesla has more than 12000 additional orders, bringing the total number of orders in June to more than 34000 vehicles.
However, 5000 of the 12000 orders do not have a scheduled delivery date, and sources expect it will be difficult to deliver all of these vehicles by the end of the month. As of today, Tesla delivered 49000 vehicles in North America in the second quarter and is likely to deliver only 61000 by the end of this quarter.
Earlier, Tesla executive Elon Musk said last month that the company was on track to deliver a record number of cars this quarter, surpassing the 90700 delivered to customers in the fourth quarter of last year. He also said Tesla was "on track to achieve record quarterly results at all levels" in the second quarter, while the company was expected to achieve its mass production target by the end of the year.
And a clear incentive plan is established: if 33000 vehicles can be delivered in June, the bonus will be $1200 per sales and $550per delivery employee, and the bonus will double if the delivery reaches 36000 in June.
Tesla also expected to deliver 90, 000 to 100000 vehicles in the second quarter and 360000 to 400000 for the whole of 2019.
At present, if you add the international market data, especially in Norway and China and other places, Tesla wants to set a new record, the order demand is not a problem, mainly because the delivery pressure is too great.
Tesla's delivery volume fell sharply to 63000 in the first quarter from 90700 in the fourth quarter of last year, with revenue falling 41 per cent to $3.72 billion and a net loss of $700m.
