Porsche's first mass-produced pure electric car, the Taycan, is a camouflage test car on the streets of Shanghai, which is expected to go on sale in China soon. The new car will be launched worldwide in September and is scheduled to go on sale in 2020. At present, Taycan has begun to accept bookings in China, and the car purchase intention fee is 20, 000 yuan. The exterior design of the new car borrows from the Porsche mission E Cross Turismo concept car, the general outline is very similar, but the Taycan is more rugged in the setting of body lines. Because it is a pure electric vehicle, the front does not use the traditional intake grille, but adopts a fully enclosed design; the daytime driving lights use Porsche's iconic four-point shape. The rear of the car adopts a slip-back styling design, and the design of through taillights and peripheral lines is very similar to that of the Mission E concept car.

The design of the new headlamps is very similar to the "four-point" commonly used in Porsche models, but the lampshade is removed and circuit lines are added around it, which makes it look particularly technological.

In terms of interior decoration, the interior of Porsche Taycan is based on black and white, with a minimalist design style. there are four LCD screens in the central control area, which are instrument, central control screen and co-driver entertainment screen respectively, while the lower LCD screen integrates various control functions of interior decoration, and the traditional mechanical keys have disappeared on the car body.

Porsche Taycan will carry two permanent magnet synchronous motors, powered by lithium-ion batteries, 0-100km/h acceleration will be completed in 3.5 seconds, 0-200km/h acceleration time less than 12 seconds. The mileage of NEDC can exceed 500km. When charging with an 800V UHV fast charging device, it only takes about 15 minutes for the car to be charged with the amount of electricity that can be used to drive the 400km.
