A number of provinces and cities implemented the "National sixth" emission policy in advance on July 1, which not only had a significant impact on the prices of new and used cars, but also spread to the parallel imported car market. However, in this unfavorable situation, many parallel imported models have raised their prices.

At present, parallel imported models in China can be divided into five versions according to different regions, including American, Canadian, ink, Middle East and European. At present, all the parallel imported vehicles on sale meet the national five emission standards, but when facing the test of the "sixth national" policy, due to the different emission standards where the models come from, there is a very big difference in adapting to the changes of the "sixth national".

As the original emission standards of the parallel imported models of American regulations and plus regulations are not much different from those of "National VI", they can meet the "National VI" standards through a simple upgrade of dealers after they are imported into China, so they are less affected by emission regulations.

Although European models meet the Euro 6 emission standards, some of the indicators in Euro 6 do not meet the requirements of country 6, so at present, European models cannot be upgraded to meet "country 6" emissions.

There is a big gap between the emission standards of the Middle East version and the ink version and the "sixth" standard, so there is basically no hope of meeting the "sixth" standard. This means that after July 1, 2020 at the latest, when all provinces and cities across the country implement the "National VI" standards, parallel imported models that do not meet the emission standards will not be available for domestic sale and therefore cannot be sold in China.

Among them, the Middle East version currently accounts for more than 50% of the annual sales of parallel imported cars, and the top three parallel imported cars, Tuller, overbearing and Cooluze, are also Middle East models. The delisting of these models due to substandard emissions will deal a huge blow to an industry that is gradually forming a scale.

Many consumers think of the introduction of the sixth year, car companies will step up sales, so quickly "bottom" parallel imported cars. However, through market research, it is found that although July 1 is only a few days away, except for some new models that will be upgraded, the prices of many popular Middle East models are gradually rising.

The terminal price of the 2019 Nissan Tuller XE version rose slightly; Pajero V97 gold standard, the price increased by more than 30, 000 yuan; Prado generally rose by more than 10, 000 yuan; and the Toyota Sena series, which has been in tight market, generally increased by 1-15000.

In fact, from the release of the policy on January 1, 2019, businesses will no longer introduce imported vehicles of the national five standards. Although the emission standards of some vehicles in Europe and the United States have reached the national six emission standards, the procedures are still the licensing procedures of the national fifth. Therefore, even if the requirements are met, they cannot be licensed normally in the local DMV, and the importers are negotiating with the relevant departments.

Due to the outage of supply, the supply and inventory of some models are constantly decreasing, resulting in a shortage of resources. at this time, even if the merchants raise prices, the car owners can only be at their mercy, but the recent market fluctuations are helpless. In addition, American vehicles have also received the impact of Sino-US trade war and tariffs, prices are rising, and the problem of shortage of cars cannot be solved in the near future.

The price of parallel imported models changes frequently, sometimes one price a day, behind which there are too many uncertainties that will affect its price.

In response to market demand, with the passage of time, the state will promulgate corresponding measures to respond to the demand of the imported car market and car owners, although it cannot be solved within a period of time, but the long-term solution is that the vehicles with six emission standards in the importing country are a long-term solution, so imported cars will not be out of stock or "sky-high prices".
