AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)07/03 Report--

Recently, all the major car companies have released their June sales reports. In the general environment of the automobile market, many car companies can not help but sweat for their June sales results.

Hyundai Motor, South Korea's largest carmaker, released global sales figures for June, which continued to fall. Hyundai sold 412852 new cars in June, down 8.3 per cent from a year earlier. Total sales in the first half of 2019 were 2127611, down 5.1 per cent from a year earlier. It is worth mentioning that Beijing Hyundai got off to a good start with monthly sales of 110316 vehicles at the beginning of 2019, but this is only a false scene of price for quantity.

Although the sales performance is not good, the performance in South Korea, its stronghold, has risen steadily. Hyundai sold 60987 vehicles in South Korea in June, up 2.5 per cent from 59494 in the same period last year. Among them, Sonata, Grandeur (Azera) and Avante's (Elantra) all achieved good results in mid-June, selling 9822, 6652 and 5654 new cars respectively.

In the case of steady increase in sales in their own strongholds, Hyundai's overall sales are still declining, mainly due to the severe situation in overseas markets. Hyundai sold 317727 vehicles overseas in June, down 10 per cent from 353358 in the same period last year. Weak demand in overseas markets such as China and Turkey, coupled with competition from other brands, has led to Hyundai's poor performance in overseas markets. It is reported that in order to boost overseas sales, Hyundai is planning to launch a flagship version of Palisade SUV, which may go on sale in the United States this summer. The dilemma that Hyundai is facing is mainly poor sales in overseas markets, while in the Chinese market, Hyundai's product reputation and brand image are gradually declining, coupled with other car companies building momentum in China, the situation of Hyundai is really not optimistic.
