AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)07/03 Report--

PSA Group announced that it will launch 15 electric models by the beginning of 2021 and achieve 100% electric coverage of core models by 2025.

Recently, the PSA Group announced that it will launch 15 pawnshop models in early 2021, and by 2025, each model owned by the PAS Group will provide electric or hybrid models with 100% coverage. At the same time, with the promotion of the electrification strategy, PSA Group's networking and advanced driving assistance technology have also laid the foundation for "autopilot". PSA Group will launch L3 self-driving technology in 2024, and the actual road test of its self-driving technology has been carried out simultaneously in France and China.

At present, PSA's two major platforms, EMP2 and CMP, support the production of electric products to meet the needs of different markets. Among them, the CMP platform mainly supports small and compact pure electric products, while the EMP2 platform now supports the production of compact and medium-sized plug-in hybrid products, and will launch pure electric models in the future. In terms of the performance of the hybrid model, PSA said that the average pure electric mileage of the vehicle is 50km, and the maximum power of the hybrid system can reach 300 horsepower, which will reduce fuel consumption by 40% compared with the internal combustion engine model, up to 2.2L/100km. In addition, the space of the vehicle will not be occupied by the addition of the battery panel.

In terms of specific products, PSA will rely on the EMP2 platform to build C-class and D-class cars, and use pure electricity and plug-in power. Among them, the mixed-power model will be the first to enter the European market in 2019, and then introduced into China. In addition, the PSA Group will also use the CPM platform to carry pure electric B-class cars and C-class cars.

According to the plan, PSA Group will officially launch the electric offensive this year, and every new product to be launched in the future will provide plug-in hybrid or pure electric models. By the beginning of 2021, PSA Group will have 15 electric models on the market, among which, from 2019 to 2021, PSA will launch 8 plug-in hybrid products, including DS 7, Peugeot 3008 (domestic 4008), Peugeot 508 (domestic 508L), C5 AIRCROSS (Tianyi) and other models.

By 2021, seven pure electric products, including DS 3 electric version and eMur2008, will also be officially on the market. As Peugeot's first electric car in China, eMur2008 will be the first to be officially unveiled in China during the Guangzhou Auto Show, which opens in November this year.

With the development of electrification, the autopilot technology of PSA Group is also advancing steadily. At present, PSA's product DS 7 can achieve LV2-level autopilot, while the higher LV3-level autopilot technology has been tested simultaneously in France and China and will be put into use in 2024. In addition, due to the limited use environment and infrastructure construction, PSA currently plans to take the lead in applying LV4 and LV5-level autopilot technology to the field of shared travel, which is not open to individuals. In addition, the PSA Group also said it would conduct autopilot mode tests on open roads in Europe and China.

As a traditional carmaker, PSA believes that the premature introduction of higher-level self-driving technology into production vehicles will increase the cost of vehicle manufacturing, resulting in a sharp increase in prices, which is not easy to be accepted by consumers. At the same time, the uncertainty of the environment needed by the new car and the imperfection of supporting facilities will affect the experience of consumers, which is also the reason why they choose to steadily promote self-driving technology.
