After Tesla Model 3 won all five-star excellent ratings in the US NHTSA crash test, Europe's NCAP also released a batch of new car crash test results on Wednesday, while Tesla Model 3 was excellent in all categories and scored the highest 94 points so far in the auxiliary safety category.

Model3 has only frontal collision results in the authoritative IIHS collision test, and there is no relevant data in E-NCAP and C-NCAP. At present, only Tesla's official website has announced the NHTSA collision test. Model3 is passed by all five stars, and according to the collision performance of Model S in the past, coupled with the active safety of Model3, we do not think we need to worry too much about traditional collision safety.

The test is arranged at the Thatcham Research Center in Berkshire, UK. Matthew Avery, director of the center, revealed that Tesla Model 3's automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning system showed high performance. The lower scores of Model 3 appeared in road violations, including when hitting dummies and bicycles on the road.

In addition, Model 3 scored 96 per cent for adult protection (drivers and passengers, including body rigidity, side collisions, etc.) and 86 per cent for child safety protection. Another piece of authoritative data on the safety of Model 3 has not been released, namely IIHS (American Highway Insurance Association).
