AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)07/04 Report--

According to foreign media reports, the US subsidiary of Volkswagen Group is recalling a total of 663378 Atlas CUV and Passat sedans made at the Chattanooga plant in Tennessee to repair a defect in the parts of a headlight.

Volkswagen spokesman Mark Gillies said recently that the headlamp parts produced by these two models may not be equipped with horizontal adjustment spiral covers, which will affect the 116172 Atlas CUV made by Volkswagen in 2018-2019 and the 547206 Passat produced in the 2012-2020 production cycle.

大众召回超过66.3万辆帕萨特和Atlas车型

If the headlights are not adjusted correctly during the journey, the visibility of drivers and other drivers may be reduced, thus increasing the risk of collision. As a result, recalls are required in accordance with US federal regulations.

Volkswagen has not received reports of accidents or injuries related to the recall. Volkswagen will inspect and install missing horizontal adjustment nuts free of charge. Recalls and customer notifications are expected to begin this month.
