A few days ago, US media reported that production of Mercedes-Benz's S-Class coupe and convertible may be discontinued due to sluggish sales. At present, the news has not been officially confirmed by Mercedes-Benz.

Foreign media reported that the S-class coupe and S-class convertible will not be upgraded. According to statistics, Mercedes-Benz paid out 2310185 vehicles last year, an increase of 0.9% over the same period last year, of which the SUV accounted for 30% of the total sales. C-series models are still Mercedes-Benz models, Mercedes-Benz S-class models achieved 21.8% year-on-year growth, while S-class sedan and S-class convertible sales continued to decline.

In terms of sales volume, there is also a basis for foreign media to follow. At present, Mercedes-Benz is implementing the electrification strategy in China, and there is little chance of launching hybrid and pure electric coupe and convertible cars.
