AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)07/05 Report--
Wang Yisong, deputy director of the quality Development Bureau of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, said at the 2019 World New Energy vehicle Congress that a total of 123000 new energy vehicles had been recalled in China as of May 2019.
In the recalls of new energy vehicles that have been launched, defects in the three electric systems account for 50% of the total recalls (40% for design reasons and 60% for manufacturing reasons), and braking systems account for 40% of the total recalls (manufacturing system defects are all caused by manufacturing reasons).
The State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration conducted a corresponding survey on the spontaneous combustion of new energy vehicles. The results show that according to the type of vehicles, passenger vehicles and logistics vehicles account for the highest proportion of fire accidents, accounting for 79.8% and 15.5%, respectively. According to the cause of fire, there are five types: external impact and user modification, battery or battery failure, water soaking, charging pile failure, illegal operation, etc. According to the statistics of power type, 56% of the vehicles were stopped at the time of fire, 37.3% were charged, and 6.7% were in motion.
By the end of April 2019, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration had received a total of 427 new energy vehicle defects, involving 38 producers and a total of 61 models. Among them, the proportion of complaints due to battery decay and charging failures accounted for 55% and 15% respectively, ranking in the top two in the number of complaints, becoming the main factor in complaints about new energy vehicles.
Recently, there have been frequent incidents of spontaneous combustion of new energy vehicles, including Tesla and Xilai Motors. Consumers are worried about the safety of new energy vehicles. Safety issues seem to have begun to replace "range", "charging time" and other issues, becoming the primary concern of consumers.
According to statistics from the Federation of passengers, in May this year, the new energy passenger car market reached 97000 wholesale vehicles, an increase of 5.8% month-on-month and 5.4% year-on-year. From January to May this year, the total number of new energy passenger vehicles nationwide totaled 442000, an increase of 58.0% over the same period last year. Although the growth rate of the new energy passenger car market is still very fast, compared with the traditional fuel vehicle market, the volume of the new energy vehicle market is still very small.
Against this background, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on the investigation of hidden dangers of new energy vehicles in June, requiring that emphasis be placed on waterproof protection of sold vehicles, high-voltage wire harness, vehicle collision, on-board power batteries, on-board charging devices, battery boxes, mechanical parts and vulnerable parts, and take the enterprise as the first responsible person to formulate strict punishment measures. In order to allay consumers' concerns about new energy vehicles.
Generally speaking, whether the new energy vehicle market can eventually become the mainstream still has a long way to go. For them, the most important thing now is to ensure the safety and reliability of the product. Because in the long run, China's new energy market will be more mature, and new energy models will be more popular with consumers in the future. But before that, the safety of new energy vehicles must be paid enough attention to by the industry, and safety must not be allowed to become an obstacle to the development of new energy vehicles. If the major premise of safety is lost, it will not only be irresponsible to consumers. It will even have a negative impact on the whole industry, and ultimately affect the long-term development of pure electric vehicles.
