The rise at another Lexus dealer was even higher, with the suggested retail price of the ES 200 model ranging from 3088 yuan to 327800 yuan, up nearly 30, 000 yuan from the official guidance price. Some netizens said that the price is the added price for the dealer, including the installed project function, and means that the car must accept a price increase of 20,000 to 30,000 yuan.

Data show that Lexus sold 18178 new cars in China in June, with cumulative sales reaching 93823 from January to June, up 36.5 per cent from a year earlier. Lexus is still in second place among second-tier luxury brands compared to Cadillac's sales of more than 100000 units, but the gap is narrowing. With this increase, Lexus is expected to sell more than 200000 units for the whole year.
