So Mr. Wang sent the vehicle to the 4S store for maintenance and inspection, and tested and upgraded the vehicle system, but the problem still could not be solved.
In addition, Mr. Wang also found that there was a construction order on the vehicle, which showed that the vehicle had been repaired on February 22, and the date he picked up the car was May 27. Then contacted Mercedes-Benz's headquarters in Beijing to complain and asked to be able to change cars.
However, Mercedes-Benz headquarters said that it was possible to return Mr. Wang's car, but Mr. Wang had to bear the cost of the use and loss of the vehicle himself. Then Mr. Wang calculated that the total cost would cost him about 60,000 to 70,000 yuan. When Mr. Wang asked the staff if they had an electronic version of the vehicle inspection record, the store said it was only a paper version. When Mr. Wang asked the staff whether the vehicle had engine fault lights in the inspection report on the maintenance date of the 22nd, the store did not make a positive response. In other words, the store does not know whether there has been a quality problem with the vehicle.
What the 4S store says is that the faulty lights will not appear when the vehicle is delivered to the store after it leaves the factory, because a series of tests will be carried out before the vehicle is delivered, and if there is a problem, the vehicle cannot be delivered. At present, the two sides are in negotiations.
Regarding this incident, whether the newly purchased vehicle manufacturer of consumers has carried out fault maintenance, the store said that it did not know, but said it would not deliver unqualified vehicles to consumers.
