Because Xiaopeng did not inform the new and old generation sales in advance, so that many old users did not know, and even when the new car was on the market, some users were suddenly told that the old car was being replaced, and the previous generation of car owners were not cheap, so user resentment broke out.

He Xiaopeng did not explain this issue in his apology letter, but only explained in detail the pricing logic of the new version of G3. He believes that some netizens are comparing the high configuration of Xiaopeng G3 2019 (and not including the discount) with the low configuration of G3 2020, which is ambiguous and misleading consumers.

However, for the new subsidy policy given by Xiaopeng Motor, many netizens said that they had to buy a new car again in order to enjoy a subsidy of 10000 yuan, and few car owners would repurchase, which is tantamount to no compensation, and other expenses such as repurchase insurance have not yet been included.
