Ms. Liu said that she had two cars, both washed in the same car shop, never used the so-called brightener, and there was no rust on the wheels of the other car, so why did this car appear? Therefore, Ms. Liu believes that this is a problem with the quality of the car.

4S store staff said that this is man-made, not within the scope of the warranty, 4S store will not carry out warranty, let alone replacement.

Ms. Liu finally chose to negotiate the matter through the media. The reporter immediately contacted the staff of the 4S store. Mr. Kuang, the marketing and sales manager, said that after there was something wrong with the vehicle, we contacted the customer and asked the owner to drive the car to the 4S store for professional inspection, and then took a picture to the manufacturer. It was determined at the first time that it was caused by environmental factors, but the car owner always thought that it was a product quality problem, so we also submitted it to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer also thought that it was caused by the external environment. The reason is that it is caused by corrosion or oxidation, or lime, oil stains, alkaline substances and so on for a long time in the course of use. The manager said that she is willing to restore the appearance of the hub for Ms. Liu at the cost price.

However, Ms. Liu is not very satisfied with this solution. She is worried that the appearance of the wheels will continue to rust after repair, which will have an impact on the safety performance of the car as the age of the vehicle increases and the oxidation of the wheels intensifies.

The lawyer suggested that the cause of the rusting of the wheel hub should be identified by a third party, said Zhou Zhenhua, a lawyer at Jiangxi Gloria Law firm: whether it is caused by external reasons, both sides have their own opinions. 4S stores say it is caused by external conditions and it is difficult to convince the public. A third-party appraisal institution can be sought to show fairness. If the quality issue is involved, the two parties can negotiate and mediate, and if the negotiation is not good, they can request the third-party consumer rights and interests department to mediate or complain directly to the market regulatory department, after a comprehensive investigation by the market regulatory department, clearly determine and define whether the product has quality problems and whether the merchant fulfills the warranty obligation of product quality.

Finally, the reporter reported the matter to the Ganzhou Market Supervision Administration, and the staff also put forward some suggestions to Ms. Liu.

It is suggested that consumers can propose to the merchant to take out the hub and prove that it is qualified when it leaves the factory at that time. If not, we will first accept consumers' complaints and carry out relevant mediation. If manufacturers come up with the proof of testing at that time and prove that the wheels are qualified, then consumers will be required to prove the problem and submit it to the automobile inspection institutions recognized by the state. Based on the test results, we will judge what caused it. In this way, it will be more conducive to consumers to protect their rights.
