The reason for the strong dissatisfaction of the old owners is that on July 10, Xiaopeng Automobile launched 2020 Xiaopeng G3 models, some old owners found that 2020 Xiaopeng G3 battery life improved a lot, the price is not much different, even cheaper. It means that Xiaopeng G3 2019 model was eliminated only half a year after its launch, and some users who just picked up the car felt that Xiaopeng deliberately concealed the listing information of the new model; at the same time, the users who had already decided could not withdraw or upgrade the model.

On July 12, the founder of Xiaopeng Automobile put forward compensation for the old car owner: "From now on,(old car owner and family members) within 3 years to buy any model of Xiaopeng automobile, in the enjoyment of all the promotion policy rights and interests of the new car to be purchased in the current period, enjoy an additional 10000 yuan exclusive subsidy rights and interests." But the old owner is not satisfied with this compensation.

In addition, on July 14, Sun Yuchen, who was photographed by Buffett Charity Luncheon for more than 3 million yuan, claimed on Weibo to support Xiaopeng car owners to safeguard their rights, and took out 10 million yuan in his own name as legal prosecution deposit to support Xiaopeng car owners to sue Xiaopeng cars and subsidize 80% of legal fees until the official gave a satisfactory solution.
