AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)07/16 Report--

Today, some media learned that Li Feng, executive vice president of Baoneng Automobile and former CEO of Guanzhi Automobile, has left Baoneng Automobile, and his current job is unknown. During his 20-year career in the automotive industry, Li Feng has worked in BAIC Foton, Chery, Beijing Hyundai and BAIC.

In December 2017, Li Feng officially left BAIC, which has served for eight years, and joined Baoneng Automobile in January 2018 as executive vice president. He is an important figure in Baoneng's foray into new energy vehicle manufacturing. At that time, Baoneng Group had just announced that it had completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in Guanzhi Motors and formally took over the Qoros business.

In February 2018, Liu Liang, CEO of Guanzhi Automobile, announced his resignation, and Li Feng was also appointed as CEO of Quan Zhi.

At the annual meeting of Qoros Automobile Marketing in 2018, Li Feng, executive vice president of Baoneng and CEO of Guanzhi, announced that Qoros continues to hold high the banner of its high-end independent brand, with a retail target of 80,000 units in 2018 and the introduction of pure electric vehicles to the market this year.

Qoros sales did rise in 2018, from 15000 in 2017 to 63000 in 2018, but most of the new cars are "produced and sold" through Baoneng's affiliated companies.

After Qoros took over from Baoneng, it did not improve much, even the product line was updated and the progress of new cars came to a standstill. Until February this year, Baoneng brought in a senior team of Japanese car companies to take over Qoros, while Li Feng stepped down as CEO.

In May this year, some media also exposed the news of layoffs at the Qoros factory in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. Quan Zhi Automobile responded that the Changshu plant is operating normally, the management has introduced the concept of lean management, and the company's production and other links have been consolidated, optimized and upgraded. The review of the Changshu plant is being carried out in an orderly manner, and there are no layoffs.

After more than 10 years of establishment, Quan Zhi was once on the verge of danger. Fortunately, at the end of 2017, Bao Neng brought money to the owner, which saved Guanzhi, and Chery became the second master. The takeover of BAIC executives has not brought significant changes to Guanzhi, and now the BAIC team is out and introduced to the Japanese executive team in an attempt to change Guanzhi's fate. The Chinese market has entered an environment of stock competition, and car brands are facing a reshuffle. Is there still a chance for Qoros, which has a dismal track record?
